Today, the official Halo 3 Soundtrack website www.halo3ost.com went online. The site features exclusive material including streaming music samples of the Halo 3 score, behind the scenes footage of the recording session as well as video interviews with composer Marty O’Donnell.
The highly anticipated original soundtrack comes in a 2-CD set featuring the game’s original music score and will be released on November 20th to US retail outlets through Nile Rodgers’ Sumthing Else Music Works label www.sumthing.com and via digital download at Sumthing Digital www.sumthingdigital.com.

Halo 3 is a pretty good video game. As if it mattered.
The much-hyped title for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 gaming system is the equivalent of the review-proof movie. No matter what any critic, talking head or commentator said, the game was destined to fly off store shelves. How could it not, with more than 1.5 million pre-ordered copies, special release parties and enough buzz to drown out 100 angry beehives?

I used to find it hard to fully imagine the mind-set of a terrorist.
That is, until I played Halo 3 online, where I found myself adopting — with great success — terrorist tactics. Including a form of suicide bombing.
This probably bears some explanation. I’ll begin by pointing out a basic fact: A lot of teenage kids out there play dozens of hours of multiplayer Halo a week. They thus become insanely good at the game: They can kill me with a single head shot from halfway across a map — or expertly circle me while jumping around, making it impossible for me to land a shot, while they pulverize me with bullets.

Nevertheless, the Cyberathlete Professional’s League is going to be holding their “Extreme Winter Championship” tournament in Dallas, Texas with $1 million up for grabs. Best of all is you don’t need to be a well known Halo prodigy to enter – this tournament is open to all.
Of course, you won’t get all that cash if you’re the big winner – there’s a million dollars total on the line, with first place taking $250,000 grand, with the rest being divvied up between the 63 runners up.
